Tracy Yijia Tang is a Chinese-born designer. She graduated
with a Master of Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design (23’),
where she received the 2023 Julia Amory Appleton Traveling Fellowship. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Swarthmore College (18’) in Studio Art and Engineering.
Currently, Tracy is practicing as an architectural designer based in Boston, while conducting her research “Curtains in Architecture” supported by the Fellowship. She has previously collaborated with artists and academic labs on installations as well as multi-media exhibitions, and has worked with architecture offices in New York, Shanghai, and Paris, including NO Architecture, David Chipperfield Architects, and EXPERIENCE. Aside from work, she has served juries at Harvard College, Harvard GSD Design Discovery, and Northeastern University.
